M. P. Karombo - Group Chief Executive Officer
Max Karombo joined OK Zimbabwe in April 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Technology (Honours) degree and a Master of Business Administration degree, both from the University of Zimbabwe. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Max was first certified as a Chartered Marketer in 1999 and is a recipient of the Outstanding Marketing Personality of the Year from the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe.
Max has held various senior leadership roles in Marketing and Operations which have enabled him to hone his vast experience in marketing. Leveraging on his robust training, he grew his business leadership credentials at Unilever where he started off as Marketing Director for the South East Africa cluster, Zimbabwe Customer Development Director, Managing Director at Unilever Uganda and eventually as Managing Director at Unilever Zimbabwe. In the recent past, he was at Delta Corporation as Executive Director – Operations and Marketing for 10 years.
P. Mushosho - Chief Finance Officer
B. Muradzikwa - Group Treasurer
Brian joined the company in August 2003 as Finance Manager and was promoted to Finance Executive until his elevation to Strategy Director and Executive Assistant to the Group CEO, a position he held until his recent appointment to Group Treasurer.
Prior to joining OK Zimbabwe Limited he worked as Finance Manager at Caltex Oil Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd and an articled clerk at Deloitte and Touché (Zimbabwe). Brian is a holder of Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Accountancy from NUST and a Master in Business Leadership from UNISA. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001.
K. Mupaya - Supply Chain Director
In 2009 Knox joined Pick n Pay South Africa where he spent 10 years in various commercial roles spanning from strategy development, demand planning and procurement. In 2015 he was appointed Head of Packaged groceries and his last position was with the Budget store cluster as the Commercial Lead. Knox moved back to Zimbabwe to join the Innscor Africa group as Retail Executive leading the retail division of Profeeds where he managed their footprint expansion and store revamp program. He obtained an honours degree in Information Systems from Rhodes University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Wits Business School in South Africa.
S. Meck - Marketing Director
Stanley joined the Company in December 2022 as Marketing Manager responsible for Strategy, Innovation and Shopper Connections, a position he held until his elevation to Marketing Director. As Marketing Manager, he was part of cross functional teams responsible for the launch of the Group’s new generation store portfolio including Bon Marche’ Marondera, the new OK Liquor Store concept in Banket and the incubation of a new financial solutions business, Vimbai Capital. He has held various local and regional roles across Marketing, Innovation, Price and Margin management, starting out at Unilever South East Africa, Delta Beverages, SABMiller (now ABInBev), Simbisa Brands and Lafarge.
Passionate about building strong brands, Stanley holds an Honours Degree in Business Studies (Marketing) from the University of Zimbabwe, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Practice from Henley Business School of the University of Reading, (UK) and a Master’s in Business Administration from Steinbeis University (Germany).
M. Munyuru - Corporate Affairs Director and Company Secretary
Margaret is a seasoned legal expert and chartered secretary with a strong background in legal, governance, risk management and compliance gained from her experience in the legal, financial services and retail sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Honours degree attained from the University of Zimbabwe, a Master’s degree with specialisation in International Relations attained from the University of Zimbabwe as well as a Master’s degree with specialisation in International Economic Law with the University of South Africa where she concentrated on e-commerce and regional trade. She also holds a full governance and accounting professional qualification from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Zimbabwe.
Margaret began her career in 2011 as a Legal Services Manager at CBZ Holdings Limited where she rose within the ranks handling a versatile portfolio within the diversified financial services Group. She later joined the African Banking Corporation Limited in 2017 as its Country Legal Advisor, a position she held until joining OK Zimbabwe Limited on 1 May 2018. Margaret served as the Company Secretary and Head of Corporate Services until her recent appointment to Corporate Affairs Director. She continues to serve as Company Secretary whilst leading corporate communications, corporate reputation management, public relations and strategy implementation.
Margaret is a registered member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe and Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Zimbabwe. She is an accomplished analytical thinker and passionate problem solver who brings vast wealth of knowledge and experience to Management and the Board.
V. Gumbo - Operations Director
Vupenyu is a highly experienced retailer with more than 20 years local and regional experience; in FMCG, clothing, and general merchandise environments. He started his retail career as a graduate trainee at OK Zimbabwe in 1998, worked at Red Star, CFI Retail t/a Town and Country; in various capacities (General manager – Operations, and Special Projects, and later promoted to Managing Director, and spent nearly 10 years in Country GM roles at Woolworths – Tanzania and Uganda, Lesotho and Zambia. Vupenyu rejoined OK Zimbabwe in June 2019. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Marketing from NUST.

N. Karemba - General Manager, Internal Audit Services
Nontokozo is a qualified Chartered Accountant (Zimbabwe) and holds a Master’s in Business Leadership (MBL) from the University of South Africa. She has over 19 years’ working experience in auditing, risk management and advisory services, having started her career with Deloitte, an international auditing and advisory firm. She worked for Deloitte for over 9 years from trainee to senior manager level, during which time she also had the opportunity of being seconded to the organisation’s international offices in Canada, United Kingdom and the USA. Nontokozo held the position of Audit and Assurance Executive for 8 years at Nedbank Zimbabwe, the subsidiary of a regional financial services group in Southern Africa. She subsequently became Head of Audit for CBZ Bank for 2 years, where she was exposed to several businesses across the financial services sector that are a part of the CBZ Group.
